Privacy policy

1. What we collect

We only collect what you give us, plus the basic technical data any website receives.

• Booking an intro call: your name, email, role, brand name, website, product category, revenue and ad spend ranges, the platforms you advertise on, what you need, what isn't working, your goals, your timeline, how you found us, the time you picked and your time zone.
• Requesting a free ad teardown: your name, email, brand name, website, ad spend range and, if you add them, a link to an ad and a note.
• Emailing us: your email address and whatever you choose to write.
• Technical data: when you load a page, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser type and the page requested. This is used for security and to keep the site running, not to profile you.

We don't ask for, and please don't send us, payment card details, passwords or sensitive personal data through the website.

2. The free tools

Our calculators and generators run entirely in your browser. What you type into them is not sent to us or stored on our servers. Some tools remember your settings, such as the currency, in your own browser's local storage so they're still there next time. You can clear this at any time from your browser settings.

3. Why we use it

• To prepare for and hold your intro call, and to send you the calendar invite and meeting link.
• To record and email you your ad teardown.
• To reply to your messages and follow up about the work you asked about.
• To keep the website secure and working.

Our legal bases are: taking steps you asked for before a possible contract (calls and teardowns), our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries and running a secure website, and your consent where we ask for it. We don't sell your information, we don't use it for automated decisions about you, and we don't add you to marketing lists without asking.

4. Cookies and tracking

We don't use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. If we add privacy-friendly analytics in future to understand which pages are useful, we'll update this policy first and ask for consent where the law requires it.

5. Who processes it for us

We use a small number of trusted providers, each bound to protect your data and use it only to provide their service to us:

• Convex: stores booking and teardown requests in our database.
• Google (Workspace and Calendar): our email, and the calendar that holds your call, including the invite sent to your email address.
• Cloudflare: hosts the website and protects it from abuse.

Some of these providers process data in the United States and other countries. Where data leaves the UK or EU, it's protected by the provider's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

6. How long we keep it

We keep booking and teardown information while we're talking or working together, and for up to two years after our last contact, so we have the context if you come back. After that we delete it. If you become a client, records we must keep for tax and accounting are kept for as long as the law requires. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the UK, the EU and US states such as California), you can:

• ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
• ask us to correct it or delete it;
• object to or limit how we use it;
• ask us to send it to you or another provider in a usable format;
• withdraw consent where we rely on it.

Email hello@maroyas.com and we'll reply within 30 days. We won't treat you differently for asking. If you're unhappy with how we handled your information, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Security

Data is sent over HTTPS, stored with providers that encrypt it at rest, and only the two of us can access it. No system is perfectly secure, so if we ever learn of a breach that affects you, we'll tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

9. Children

Our services are for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

10. Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we'll make it clear on the site. Questions or requests: hello@maroyas.com.
